Tanks, helicopters and combat robots! AKM Group-CZ visited the AUSA 2010 defence exhibition in Washington and shares its fresh impressions:

AKM Group-CZ team visited the largest defence industry event in the USA, where representatives of the army, industry and government discussed the latest developments and requirements in the field of weapons and technologies.

This year’s new products included advanced weapon systems and communications equipment. A widely discussed exhibit was the Bradley A3 infantry fighting vehicle from General Dynamics Land Systems with reinforced armor and more effective equipment to protect the crew. Another ‘star’ of the American exhibition was the M1A2 Abrams SEP v2 tank with upgraded electronics and improved guidance systems.

Boeing surprised with a spectacular modernized helicopter with improved control and navigation systems CH-47F Chinook.

The TALON combat robot from iRobot, which is operated by remote control, carries out mine clearance. It was designed to operate in hazardous environments where chemical or radiation contamination may be present, while allowing the operator to stay at a safe distance from potential hazards.

‘It is becoming clear that the future in the defence industry lies in such robotic systems, which will contribute to the efficient and safe execution of various military missions,’ – AKM Group-CZ.

For AKM Group-CZ the presence at AUSA 2010 played an important role in planning future contracts and purchases. During the exhibition our team managed to conduct a series of successful negotiations, identified interesting projects in the field of defence supply and planned signing of two memorandums with our international partners.
